  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon Try nutmeg for added depth.
  • 1 teaspoon Salt Balances sweetness.
  • 1 cup Milk A non-dairy alternative like almond milk works well.
  • 1 large Egg A flax egg can substitute for a vegan option.
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract Enhances the overall dessert experience.
  • 2 tablespoons Unsalted Butter Can be replaced with vegetable oil.
  • 2 cups Diced Granny Smith Apples Feel free to use other firm apples like Honeycrisp.

For the Glaze

  • 2 tablespoons Milk Non-dairy alternatives can be used.
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract Enhances the glaze flavor.

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a medium bowl, combine all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, ground cinnamon, and salt. Whisk until aerated and well mixed.
  • In a separate bowl, blend the milk, egg, vanilla extract, and melted butter until smooth.
  • Gently combine the wet and dry ingredients. Stir until just mixed.
  • Carefully fold in the diced Granny Smith apples.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 370°F (188°C) for about 5 minutes.
  • Line the air fryer basket with parchment paper and spray it lightly with cooking spray.
  • Using a spoon or scoop, carefully place the fritter batter into the basket, leaving space between each.
  • Air fry at 370°F (188°C) for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  • Meanwhile, prepare the glaze by whisking together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract.
  • Once the fritters are cooked, allow them to cool slightly. Then, drizzle or dip them into the sweet glaze.
  • Enjoy the fritters while they’re still warm.
