Ingredients
  

For the Wings

  • 2 pounds Chicken Wings Fresh wings are essential for the best texture and flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon Baking Powder Helps achieve that perfect crispy exterior.
  • 1 teaspoon Salt Enhances overall flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper Adds warmth to the seasoning blend.

For the Glaze

  • 1/2 cup Gochujang Adjust to your spice preference.
  • 1/4 cup Honey Can be substituted with maple syrup.
  • 1/4 cup Soy Sauce Opt for tamari for gluten-free.
  • 2 tablespoons Rice Vinegar Apple cider vinegar can replace it.
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Oil Vegetable oil works in a pinch.
  • 3 cloves Garlic (fresh) Garlic powder can be used if fresh is unavailable.
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger (fresh) Powdered ginger is a suitable alternative.
  • 1 tablespoon Brown Sugar Can be omitted for a lighter glaze.

For Garnish

  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Seeds Offers delightful crunch.
  • 2 tablespoons Green Onions Chop finely for best results.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat Oven: Set your oven to 220°C (425°F). Line a baking sheet with foil, placing a greased wire rack on top.
  • Prepare Wings: Pat the chicken wings dry. Toss them with baking powder, salt, pepper, and garlic powder in a bowl.
  • Bake Wings: Arrange wings on the rack. Bake for 20 minutes, flip them, continue baking for another 20-25 minutes.
  • Make the Glaze: Combine gochujang, honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, fresh garlic, fresh ginger, and brown sugar in a saucepan. Heat on low, whisk and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  • Glaze Wings: Toss hot wings in the glaze until fully coated. Return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes.
  • Serve: Serve wings hot, garnished with sesame seeds and chopped green onions. Lime wedges on the side for extra zing!

Notes

For extra sweetness, drizzle wings with additional honey if desired.
