How to Make Homemade Jam Donut Focaccia

  • Mix warm milk, sugar, and instant yeast in a bowl, allowing it to sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
  • Stir in melted butter, egg, vanilla extract, and salt.
  • Gradually add all-purpose flour, mixing until a soft dough forms.
  • Knead for 6-8 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  • Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
  • Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan, then gently press the risen dough into it.
  • Fill each dimple with dollops of strawberry or raspberry jam.
  • Allow the dough to rest and rise for an additional 20 minutes.
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Place the pan in the oven and bake for 22-25 minutes until golden brown.
  • Once baked, brush with melted butter and sprinkle with granulated sugar.
  • Slice and serve warm.
