Preparation

  • Remove the steak from the fridge, pat it dry with paper towels, and cut it into 1-inch cubes against the grain.
  • In a bowl, mix together garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Rub this blend all over the steak cubes.
  • Place a large cast-iron skillet over high heat. Drizzle in olive oil and allow it to heat until shimmering.
  • Add the seasoned steak bites in a single layer without overcrowding the pan. Sear for about 2 minutes until a golden crust forms.
  • Sear the other side for an additional 1-2 minutes, targeting a medium-rare doneness.
  • Remove the seared steak bites from the skillet and set them aside on a plate. Lower the heat to medium.
  • In the same skillet, add the butter and minced garlic. Cook for 30 seconds, scraping the browned bits off the bottom.
  • Stir in the Worcestershire sauce, fresh thyme, and rosemary. Let it simmer for about 30 seconds.
  • Return the seared steak bites back to the skillet, tossing gently to coat in the garlic butter sauce. Heat through for an additional minute.
  • Garnish your steak bites with chopped parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

For a nutritious addition, serve with a side of roasted broccoli. Pat steak dry before seasoning to allow for a golden crust. Rest the steak briefly after cooking for juiciness.
