  • 8 oz Cream Cheese softened
  • 1 cup Cheddar Cheese shredded
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Paprika optional
  • 1/4 tsp Cayenne Pepper adjust to taste
  • 1/2 tsp Fine Sea Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Ground Black Pepper freshly cracked

For the Coating

  • 1 cup Crushed Cheese Crackers or chopped toasted pecans

For the Decoration

  • 1 Bell Pepper Stem or alternatives like scallion greens or pretzel sticks

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, blend the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar, garlic powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, sea salt, and black pepper until well combined.
  • Scoop the mixture and roll it into 20 small balls, each about 2.5 cm in diameter.
  • Gently roll each ball in crushed cheese crackers until they are completely coated.
  • Use a toothpick to carefully create vertical ridges on each cheese ball, mimicking the delightful grooves of a pumpkin.
  • Affix a tiny piece of bell pepper stem atop each cheese ball for decoration.
  • Pop the cheese balls into the refrigerator and chill for at least 30 minutes.

Notes
