Ingredients

  • 4 cup Whole Milk Can substitute with almond, coconut, or soy milk.
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 4 large Eggs Use room temperature eggs.
  • 2 teaspoon Pure Vanilla Extract Fresh vanilla beans enhance flavor.
  • 1 pinch Salt

Instructions
 

Making the Custard

  • Preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C). Fill a baking dish halfway with water.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, sugar, and salt until blended. Gradually stir in the vanilla and milk.
  • Pour the custard mixture through a fine mesh sieve.
  • Carefully place the baking dish into the oven and bake for 45-55 minutes.
  • Allow the custard to cool at room temperature for 30 minutes, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
