How to Make Shrimp Alfredo

  • In a large skillet over medium heat, drizzle a bit of oil and add the shrimp. Sauté them for about 2-3 minutes until they're pink and opaque. Set them aside to keep warm.
  • Using the same skillet, add the freshly minced garlic and sauté for approximately 30 seconds until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream, stirring gently while bringing it to a gentle heat.
  • Once the cream starts bubbling, gradually add the freshly grated Parmesan cheese. Stir continuously until the cheese melts and achieves a smooth, velvety consistency.
  • Toss the cooked fettuccine into the creamy sauce, gently mixing to coat the pasta thoroughly. If the mixture seems too thick, add a splash of reserved pasta water to achieve your desired creaminess.
  • Fold in the sautéed shrimp, allowing them to warm through in the sauce. Serve hot, garnished with additional Parmesan if desired.
