Cooking Instructions

  • Chop the bacon into small pieces and cook in a skillet over medium heat until crisp, about 5-7 minutes. Remove bacon, leaving some fat in the pan.
  • Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Lightly coat with flour and cook in the same skillet until golden brown, about 6-8 minutes. Set aside.
  • Add butter to the skillet to melt, then add mushrooms and Italian seasoning, cooking until golden brown, about 5 minutes. Mix in minced garlic.
  • Pour in the Riesling wine, scraping up any browned bits and letting it reduce by half, about 3 minutes.
  • Stir in heavy cream and return cooked chicken and bacon to the pan, simmer for 5 minutes until chicken is cooked through and sauce thickens.
  • Boil pasta in salted water until al dente, about 8 minutes. Drain and toss with butter and Parmesan cheese.
  • Serve the creamy pasta topped with chicken and sauce, garnished with fresh parsley or more Parmesan cheese.

Notes

Allow chicken to rest before slicing for moisture. Don't skip the wine reduction for flavor depth. If the sauce is too thin, simmer longer or add more cream cautiously.
