For the Pork

  • 1 lb Pork Tenderloin the star of the dish
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil for sautéing
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Oil adds a nutty aroma

For the Sauce

  • 4 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1/4 cup Honey can substitute with agave syrup
  • 2 tablespoons Soy Sauce use low-sodium if preferred
  • 2 tablespoons Rice Vinegar balances sweetness
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ground Ginger can substitute with fresh ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes adjust to taste

For Serving

  • 2 cups Cooked White Rice jasmine or short-grain rice recommended
  • 1/2 cup Green Onions sliced, adds freshness as garnish
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Seeds for visual appeal and crunch

Cooking Instructions

  • Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add olive oil to get it hot for searing.
  • Cut the pork tenderloin into 1-inch cubes for even cooking.
  • Sear the pork in the skillet until browned, about 4-5 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add sesame oil and sauté minced garlic until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  • Pour in honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, ground ginger, and red pepper flakes. Stir and bring to a simmer.
  • Return the seared pork to the skillet and stir well to coat in the sauce. Simmer on low for 3-4 minutes.
  • Serve cooked white rice in bowls, topped with honey garlic pork, green onions, and sesame seeds.

Notes

Optional: Drizzle extra honey over the pork before serving for added sweetness.
