Ingredients
  

For the Fish

  • 4 fillets Tilapia Or substitute with cod or haddock
  • 1 large Egg Beaten

For the Crust

  • 1 cup Grated Parmesan cheese Freshly grated preferred
  • 1 cup Panko breadcrumbs Use gluten-free for a gluten-free option
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 tablespoon Dried parsley
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper

To Finish

  • 1 spray Olive oil For spraying the fillets
  • 1 cup Lemon wedges For serving

Preparation

  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 3–5 minutes.
  • Whisk one egg in a shallow bowl until well blended.
  • Mix the grated Parmesan, panko breadcrumbs, garlic powder, paprika, dried parsley, salt, and pepper in another bowl.
  • Dip each tilapia fillet into the beaten egg, then coat it generously with the Parmesan mixture.
  • Spray both sides of the coated fillets lightly with olive oil spray.
  • Arrange the fillets in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  • Serve hot with lemon wedges on the side.

Notes

Ensure tilapia fillets are dry before coating for best texture. Cook in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket.
